The Sound of Paradise

There is a lot that could be said about today’s controversial 26th of January. As I am grateful for this country and paying my deepest respects to the First Peoples of this land, I would like to simply share with you a peaceful moment that I experience every time walking back home from work.

I live in Surfers Paradise.

Although it is colloquially known as Surfers, I prefer to call it Paradise.

This is what Paradise sounds like to me:

Rainbow lorikeets and currawongs are the Australian native birds that you can hear in the background. Their calls are music to my ears and a soothing reminder of the necessity to coexist with nature.

What does paradise sound like to you?
