Welcome

A little bit about Me

Proud to be French, I have a deep connection with my African and Caribbean roots that intrinsically influence my outlook on life.

Although I spent a portion of my childhood climbing apple trees, I cannot deny that I am much more of a city person who is hard to impress when it comes to beaches.

Thanks to my husband who introduced me to the excitement of bush walking and Australian wilderness, I do find a type of fulfillment by being in tune with nature.

Why I created this blog

It has been nearly 5 years that I have been continuously living in Australia. I first came to Australia in 2010 to complete a 6-month internship and I have never thought that I would ever settle into this country for so long.

Mind you, I am now in a place where I can honestly say that l am enjoying my life; right here, right now.

Looking back, I realised that I have visited a lot of places in Australia and that I am becoming knowledgeable in regional and rural areas to the point that I can give recommendations to any of my fellow Frenchies and Aussies.

What this blog is about

This blog is a timeless documenting project enabling me to share my tips on authentic, regional, rural, remote Australian escapes with an affordable budget.

The type that you will not necessarily find on the likes of Lonely Planet nor on a solo/family-travelling/backpacking or digital nomad website.

All Over The Place ties in with the concepts of mindfulness, cross-cultural sensitivity and gratefulness that are dear to me.

All photos are mine unless stated otherwise!
